College application mistake: Only considering tuition fees when creating a budget

When thinking about how much money you need for an international experience, it’s tempting to look for the cheapest education and think that will save you money, but that’s not always the case. Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland) offer free tuition to EU students, but they also have some of the highest costs of living in Europe, if not the world. When you actually save money on your training, you might end up spending 10 euros on a meal that would only cost 2.5 euros in Greece, so you get that whole “hahaha, I’m saving so much!” feeling. Your head will jump up. And you shouldn’t just think about food. Think about accommodation, transportation, university facilities, clothes, transportation, etc.
